Music Inspired Footwear Concept

While we're often trained to transform tangible inspiration into footwear design, sensory experiences like smell, taste, and sound are often overlooked. Inspired by my love for Deep House, Techno, and progressive soundtracks, the concept of this piece showcases the organic and experimental nature of Techno. Visualizing the experimental sound experience through a functional product is both exploratory and subjective, the design details collectively portray the high and the speed I experience through the genre.

Inspiration

The concept aims to embody the organic and experimental nature of Techno by incorporating elements of surrealistic architecture and experimenting with contrasting textures. I tried my best to put together a visual moodboard to describe the intangible subject.
